Overview of Classes

From Nursery to Graduation

Nursery to Middle Class

The Preschool at The National Institute for the Deaf is grounded in the belief that all children are individuals who learn in their own way and at their own pace. Children of middle school ages undergo rapid developmental changes that present unique educational needs.

9th to 10th Class

The National Institute offers for high school age students who have additional disabilities. The student’s Individualized Education Plan determines the best programming for a student. Emphasis is placed on teaching life and work-related skills that can be transferred into real life experiences. Introduction, opportunities for skill development and experience with technology (VideoPhones, iPads, visual alerting systems, etc.) are used in daily life. Staff and students work closely with local businesses and workshops to help students learn skills that will transfer once they graduate.

11th to 12th Class

National Institute for the Deaf emphasis is placed on teaching life and work-related skills that can be transferred into real life experiences. Introduction, opportunities for skill development and experience with technology (VideoPhones, iPads, visual alerting systems, etc.) are used in daily life. Staff and students work closely with local businesses and workshops to help students learn skills that will transfer once they graduate.

Graduation

Mentally Challenged Child (MCC)

There is a class of Mentally Challenged Child (MCC) in NID. We have trained teachers having Masters in Special Education for these children as well.

Speech Therapy

 We focus on speech therapy of children. our teachers pay special attention on speech therapy.
